High Tidings
Annual Oyster Roast Join us Saturday, February 25 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. for the Annual Oyster Roast. $25 per person includes hotdogs, hamburders, barbecue sandwiches, beer, sodas, door prizes, and, of course, OYSTERS! All proceeds go to stock tarpon in the Palmetto Dunes lagoon. This year's Oyster Roast is sponsored by The General Store, Hilton Head Outfitters, and Palmetto Lagoon Charters. Tickets can be purchased at The General Store or Outfitters.
Pass Office Hours Extended Effective immediately, The Palmetto Dunes Department of Security Operations (PDSO) Pass Office drive thru window is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Please direct all visitors to the Pass Office window to obtain their pass. If you have any questions, please contact our Pass Office at 843-785-1125.
Tow Truck Pass Fee Waived During the January PDPOA Board meeting, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to approve the pass fee waiver for tow vehicles. Property owners in need of tow truck services will still be required to call in a pass, but there will be no charge.
Property Owner Discount Program Property owner key tags are still available! Owners will be able to use this key tag for a number of discounts on the island throughout the coming year. Current participants include the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa, Lava 24 Fitness, Sherwin-Williams, Palmetto Dunes Resort golf and tennis, and Hilton Head Outfitters. Key tags may be picked up in person at the PDPOA administrative offices. (They will not be mailed.) You will receive notice from us via the Tidings e-newsletter when additional discounts are available.

Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort Palmetto Dunes welcomes the Omni Resort. The Hilton Oceanfront Resort has changed names and will undergo a comprehensive renovation, part of a long-term management agreement with Omni. Renovations are planned for August or September and will continue through the first quarter of 2014.

Lagoon Lowering Notice If you do not receive our lagoon lowering notice e-mails, please send your e-mail address to to get on the mailing list. The reminder notice will be sent to you one day prior to the lowering. You can also access the 2011 lagoon lowering schedule on our website under the Resources tab. Please note that once the tide gates have been opened for a lowering, the lagoon will rise and fall with the tides.
