Attention: Mariner's Owners on the Lagoon
Have you gotten your easement so that you own all the way to the lagoon? If not, do it now. The ARB will not issue any permit (even for simple tree trimming) unless you have your easement. Avoid delays. You can get the easement by contacting Heidi, the ARB Administrator, at the PDPOA office (843-785-1109 or ). Best news: it will not cost you anything.

It's Turtle Nesting Season
At night, Logger Sea Turtle hatchlings emerge from their sandy nests, orient themselves toward the brightest horizon, and dash towards the sea. The most important way you can protect our turtles is to turn the lights out! The Town of Hilton Head Island requires that lights on structures visible from the beach be shielded or turned off after 10 p.m. from May 1 to October 31. Any windows facing the beach must also be covered with draperies or shades.

Shannon Tanner plays Tuesday-Saturday at 6:30 pm until Memorial Day
Beginning Memorial Day, he will play M-F and will perform two family-friendly shows at 6:30 and 8:00 pm until Labor Day.

Lagoon Lowering Notice & Date Changes
Please note that the monthly summer lagoon lowering dates have been moved to Wednesdays in order to accomodate boaters who wish to view the Tuesday night fireworks from the lagoon. The lowering schedule for September - December will be posted at www.pdpoa.org shortly.

If you do not receive our lagoon lowering notice e-mails, please send your e-mail address to to get on the mailing list. The reminder notice will be sent to you one day prior to the lowering. You can also access the 2011 lagoon lowering schedule on our website under the Resources tab. Please note that once the tide gates have been opened for a lowering, the lagoon will rise and fall with the tides.
